 Candidates who wish to study for a degree in Computer Engineering should have the following profile:
  • Completed high school education, preferably with a focus on information technology or in the fields of physics and mathematics.
  • An aptitude for analyzing logical and mathematical problems and providing practical solutions.
  • An ability to plan and carry out tasks effectively, either individually or in a team.
  • Demonstrates commitment, discipline and perseverance.
Graduate Profile
 
 Graduates from the Computer Engineering program are professional individuals with the following profile:
  • Strong background in mathematics, theory of computation, systems programming, programming paradigms and database management systems.
  • Possess knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, with a specialization in one of these areas.
  • Ability to work in teams and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Ability to go on to postgraduate study, find employment in the private sector or start his or her own business.
  • A professional of the highest caliber, conscientious, ethical, with a commitment to the betterment of society and the environment.

 The computer engineer works in the following areas:

  • Programming: commercial applications, languages, tools, systems.
  • Systems analysis: planning, analysis and design of information systems.
  • Computer auditing: consulting with business on their computer problems proposing solutions that improve their functioning.
