José Ignacio Barradas Bribiesca es Licenciado en Matemáticas por la Facultad de Ciencias de la UNAM (1979), donde también cursó la Maestría en Matemáticas (1980). Realizó el doctorado en Ciencias Naturales, Biología y Matemáticas en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Heidelber, Alemania(1981-1985). Sus áreas de interés son: Biología matemática, Modelación matemática, Ecuaciones Diferenciales y Enseñanza de las matemáticas y ciencias. Es profesor titular del Centro de Investigación Matemática y profesor de la Facultad de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Guanajuato de 1985 a la fecha. Fue Profesor visitante en la Universidad Rockefeller en Nueva York, USA (1992-1993) y en la Universidad de Londres, Inglaterra (1997-1998). Es miembro de la Academia Mexicana de Ciencias y de la Academia de Ciencias de Nueva York. Ha impartido más de 200 charlas de divulgación, cuenta con la publicación de ocho libros de matemáticas y varias traducciones y por último tiene decenas de artículos científicos además de artículos de enseñanza y divulgación. Ha obtenido diversos premios, becas y reconocimientos entre los que destacan la “Medalla Gabino Barreda” al mas alto promedio al termino de sus estudios de licenciatura en 1980 y una beca de investigación de la John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fundation 1992-1993. Forma parte del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores desde 1987 y actualmente es SNI Nivel II.

José Ignacio Barradas Bribiesca got his degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1979, he also got a Master degree in Mathematics (1980) in the same faculty. He completed a doctorate in Natural Sciences, Biology and Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, Heidelber University, Germany (1981-1985). His areas of interest are: Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Modeling, Differential Equations, and Teaching Mathematics and Science. He is full professor at the Center for Mathematical Research and professor at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Guanajuato from 1985 to date. He was visiting Professor at Rockefeller University in New York, USA (1992-1993) and at the University of London, England (1997-1998). He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and the New York Academy of Sciences. He has given more than 200 outreach talks, has published eight math books and several translations, and finally has dozens of scientific articles in addition to teaching and dissemination articles. He has obtained various prizes, scholarships and recognitions, among which the “Gabino Barreda Medal” for the highest average at the end of his undergraduate studies in 1980 and a research grant from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation 1992-1993. He has been part of the National System of Researchers (SNI) since 1987 and currently, He is part of the SNI with Level II.

Licenciado en Física y Doctor (premio extraordinario) por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC). Catedrático del área de Ciencias de la Computación e Inteligencia Artificial. Ha sido profesor de informática e inteligencia artificial desde 1995. Fue director del Departamento de Electrónica e Informática de la USC entre 1993 y 2002. También ocupó el cargo de Rector de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, asumiendo el cargo el 17 de junio de 2002 y siendo reemplazado por Juan Casares Long en 2010. También fue vicepresidente de la Conferencia de Rectores de Universidades Españolas desde mayo de 2008 a junio de 2010. Senén Barro es investigador adscrito al CiTIUS (Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnoloxías da Información), desde el que dirige el Grupo de investigación en Sistemas Inteligentes. Actualmente es investigador colaborador e investigador responsable de numerosos proyectos de investigación y contratos, internacionales en la Unión Europea, estatales y nacionales. Desde mayo de 2008 es el Presidente de RedEmprendia, que promueve la innovación y el emprendimiento responsables, y de la que forman parte 28 universidades iberoamericanas, Universia y Banco Santander. Es autor de unos 300 artículos científicos y miembro fundador de SITUM Technologies, S.A., una spin-off de la USC dedicada al posicionamiento en interiores mediante móviles. Ha realizado estancias de investigación en el Departamento de Informática Médica del Royal Free Hospital de Londres y en la Universidad de Bristol (Reino Unido), y en la Universidad de Maryland y en la Universidad de California en Berkeley (EE.UU.). Es Académico Numerario de la Real Academia Galega das Ciencias desde 2015.

Senén Barro Ameneiro got his degree in Physics and Doctor (extraordinary prize) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Paulo Canas Rodrigues es Licenciado en Matemáticas de la Universidad Nova de Lisboa (2003), obtuvo su grado de Maestro en Estadística de la Universidad Técnica de Lisboa (IST; 2007), obtuvo el doctorado en Estadística de la Universidad Nova de Lisboa (2012), y obtuvo la Habilitación en Matemáticas, especializada en Estadística y Procesos Estocásticos, de la Universidad de Lisboa (IST, 2019). Tiene experiencia en el área de Estadística, con énfasis en aprendizaje estadístico, reducción de dimensionalidad y visualización, series de tiempo y análisis espectral singular, métodos sólidos y ciencia de datos, entre otros. Ha publicado más de 50 artículos en revistas científicas internacionales y actualmente es editor de la revista Statistics, Optimization & Information Computing (desde 2013) y coeditor de la revista Biometrical Letter (desde 2013). En sus actividades profesionales, interactuó con más de 70 colaboradores en la coautoría de artículos científicos, de 17 países, y recibió 20 reconociminetos entre premios, honores y becas. Actualmente es ex-presidente de la Sección Regional Latinoamericana (LARS) de la Asociación Internacional de Computación Estadística (IASC), miembro del comité ejecutivo del IASC y presidente de la Región Brasileña de la Sociedad Biométrica Internacional (RBras). Es líder del grupo de investigación CNPq "Estadística y ciencia de datos", acreditado por la Universidad Federal de Bahía (UFBA), y vicecoordinador de la especialización en ciencia de datos y Big Data en la UFBA. Entre 2015 y 2019 fue Director de Investigación en CAST - Centro de Estadística Aplicada y Análisis de Datos, Universidad de Tampere, Finlandia. Paulo Canas Rodrigues graduated in Mathematics from Nova University of Lisbon (2003), obtained a Master in Statistics from Technical University of Lisbon (IST; 2007), obtained a PhD in Statistics from Nova University of Lisbon (2012), and obtained the Habilitation (Aggregation) in Mathematics, specializing in Statistics and Processes Stochastics, from the University of Lisbon (IST, 2019). He has experience in the area of Statistics, with an emphasis on statistical learning, dimensionality reduction and visualization, time series and singular spectral analysis, robust methods and data science, among others. He has published more than 50 articles in international scientific journals and is currently the Managing Editor of the journal Statistics, Optimization & Information Computing (since 2013) and Co-Editor of the journal Biometrical Letter (since 2013). In his professional activities, he interacted with more than 70 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific papers, from 17 countries, and received 20 awards and/or honors and/or scholarships. He is currently Past-Chairman of the Latin American Regional Section (LARS) of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC), member of the IASC executive committee, and President of the Brazilian Region of the International Biometric Society (RBras). He is leader of the CNPq research group "Statistics and Data Science", accredited by the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and Vice-Coordinator of the Specialization in Data Science and Big Data at UFBA. El Dr. Ángel Manuel Ramos del Olmo estudió una licenciatura en Matemáticas en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, junio de 1991. Obtuvo su doctorado en Matemáticas Aplicadas en 1996 también en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Es director del Instituto de Matemática Interdisciplinar desde noviembre de 2016. Profesor titular en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid desde 2018. Visitante académico en la Universidad de Oxford (10,5 meses) y en el Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (París-Rocquencourt, Francia, 6 meses). Investigador en Dassault Aviation (París, Francia, 3 meses). Investigador postdoctoral en la Universidad de Houston (9 meses). Su línea de investigación incluye modelado matemático, análisis, optimización y simulación en aplicaciones científicas, tecnológicas e industriales, principalmente utilizando ecuaciones diferenciales parciales. Principales campos de interés y aplicaciones: epidemias, derrames de petróleo, baterías de litio, biorreactores. Fue jefe del Departamento de Matemática Aplicada de la UCM desde octubre de 2008 hasta septiembre de 2012. Coordinador de la Red de Institutos Españoles de Investigación Matemática (RedIUM) de junio de 2018 a julio de 2019. Representante de la Facultad de Matemáticas (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) en Consorcio Europeo de Matemáticas en la Industria (ECMI) en 2009 y 2010. El profesor Ángel Ramos ha publicado 7 libros y docenas de artículos de investigación en reconocidas revistas. Actúa como revisor para varias agencias de investigación y revistas científicas. Jesús Linares Flores realizó sus estudios de doctorado en ingeniería eléctrica en el Centro de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados del IPN, Ciudad de México, México, en 2006. Desde 2007, es miembro del Cuerpo Académico UTMIX-CA24, Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca, Huajuapan de León, México. Hizo una licencia sabática con la Facultad de Ciencias de la Electrónica, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, en 2016. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen aspectos teóricos y prácticos de la regulación de retroalimentación de sistemas dinámicos lineales y no lineales con un énfasis especial en la pasividad y la generalización. Técnicas de control proporcional-integral y sus aplicaciones en electrónica de potencia. El Dr. Linares-Flores es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI, Nivel II), Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, México. El Dr. Linares-Flores recibió la distinción de miembro principal del IEEE en 2014. Jesús Linares-Flores received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV-IPN), Mexico City, México, in 2006. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Head of the Academic Body UTMIX-CA24, Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca, Huajuapan de León, México. He did on sabbatical leave with the Facultad de Ciencias de la Electrónica, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, in 2016. His research interests include theoretical and practical aspects of feedback regulation of linear and nonlinear dynamic systems with a special emphasis on passivity-based and generalized proportional–integral control techniques and their applications in power electronics. Dr. Linares-Flores is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI, Level II), Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, Mexico. Dr. Linares-Flores received the IEEE senior member distinction in 2014. He has published over 65 technical articles; 25 of them in credited journals and the rest in refereed international conferences.

A partir del 2016 pertenece al núcleo básico de la maestría y del doctorado en Modelación Matemática. Miembro del cuerpo académico en formación “Probabilidad y Modelación Estocástica”. Su línea de investigación son: inferencia estadística, probabilidad. Coordinadora de divulgación de las matemáticas y responsable del taller de origami en 3D UTM a partir del 2019.
